AMSTERDAM CALLING: Het Songfestivalfeest van Nederland!
Het eerste weekend van april is het weer het Dutch Eurovision Weekend. Op zaterdag is er natuurlijk Eurovision in Concert – de grootste preparty van Europa – maar we trappen dit Eurovisieweekend op vrijdag 10 april 2026 af met Amsterdam Calling. Deze avond is de Melkweg in hartje Amsterdam weer dé plek voor Eurovisie-fans en artiesten uit heel Europa.
Bereid je voor op een avond vol muziek, dans en iconische optredens.
Programa:
Deuren open: 19.00 uur
Aanvang: 20.00 uur
Afterparty: ca. 22.30 uur (NB: andere locatie!)
Wat Kun Je Verwachten?
- Live Optredens: Vijf a zes Eurovisie-sterren brengen live on stage hun eigen inzending én favoriete songfestivalnummers. Van songfestivalklassiekers tot guilty pleasures. Een lekker vol programma dus! In 2025 kreeg je bijvoorbeeld maar liefst 44 nummers live voorgeschoteld!
- Feest: Natuurlijk mag er gedanst worden! Voor & tussen de optredens door draait onze DJ de beste Eurovisie-hits. En je bent welkom op de afterparty voor nog meer ESC!

Wie we in 2025 in petto hadden?
Noorse Powerwoman Alessandra (NOR ’23) bracht o.a. haar ‘Kings & Queens’ naar Amsterdam. Ook live on stage: Winnaar van Junior Eurovision en Maltese Diva Destiny (’21). Met haar Je me casse speelde ze ook de Melkweg plat. Wat dacht je van Mimicat (POR ’23). Zij was de host van afgelopen editie. Ze pakte natuurlijk ook zelf de microfoon voor o.a. Ai Coraço. Ook Michael von der Heide (CH ’10) gaf acte de presence met zijn fan favourite Il pleut de l’or. Nog een topper: Xandee (BE’04)! Met haar 1Life blies ze de hele Melkweg omver!
Uiteraard brachten we ook songfestival geschiedenis op de planken: Het is OK met Rosina van Harmony (NL ’78) on stage. Zweden mag bijna niet ontbreken, dus wij hadden Magnus Carlsson! Hij deed maar liefst 8x (!) mee aan Melodifestivalen. Solo én als lid van Barbados en Alcazar. Het werd een feestje. Ook bij Amsterdam Calling: Spaanse hunk Jorge Gonzalez. De favoriet uit de Spaanse voorronde vorig jaar.

AMSTERDAM CALLING: The Netherlands’ Eurovision Party
The first weekend of April marks the return of the Dutch Eurovision Weekend! On Saturday, we’ll have Eurovision in Concert—the largest pre-party in Europe—but we’re kicking off this Eurovision weekend on Friday, April 10, 2026, with Amsterdam Calling. Once again, the iconic venue Melkweg in the heart of Amsterdam will be the place to be for Eurovision fans and artists from all over Europe.
Get ready for an evening packed with music, dancing, and unforgettable performances!
Program:
Doors open: 19.00 hrs
Start concert: 20.00 hrs
Start Afterparty: ca. 22.30 hrs (NB: at another location!)
What Can You Expect?
- Live Performances: Five or six Eurovision stars will take the stage to perform their own entries and their favorite Eurovision songs. From classic Eurovision hits to guilty pleasures—it’s a full and varied program! In 2024, for example, you were treated to an incredible 44 songs performed live!
- Party: Of course, there’s plenty of room to dance! Between performances and after the show, our DJ will spin the best Eurovision hits. And you’re welcome at the official afterparty!

Who did we have in store for 2025?
Norwegian Power Woman Alessandra (NOR ’23) brought Kings & Queens to Amsterdam! Among other ESC songs. And what about winner of Junior Eurovision and Maltese Diva Destiny (Mal ’21). Her Je me Casse blew the Melkweg away. Mimicat (POR ’23) – our host for this year! Of course, she’ll also took the mic herself for Ai Coração and more. Michael von der Heide (CH ’10) brought his fan favorite Il pleut de l’or. Another powerhouse: Xandee (BE ’04)! With 1Life, she blew the roof off the Melkweg!
We’re also brought Eurovision history to the stage: Rosina from Harmony (NL ’78) with ’t Is OK. And of course, it wouldn’t have been complete without Sweden! We had Magnus Carlsson, who competed no less than 8 times (!) in Melodifestivalen—both solo and as a member of Barbados and Alcazar. What a party it was ! And also on stage: Spanish heartthrob Jorge González, last year’s fan favorite from the Spanish national final.
